STUDIO
Studio Equipment
Reformer
The most famous of the Pilates equipment. My Balanced Body Allegro Reformer offers the resistance of its springs which lends itself to increasing flexibility while building overall strength and balance. It is adored for its versatility and functionality.
“The reformer’s set-up for eccentric contraction is one of the keys to achieving the long, strong muscles without bulk for which Pilates is known.” – Balanced Body
Springboard
This piece also uses resistance springs but can offer more versatility with working limbs independently. It offers less support than the Reformer making the work more “open-chain” and less stable.
Props
Different props offer different things – and I have many of them! For help to fire into the “right” muscle group, aiding with neutral alignment, or helping to engage inactive inner thigh muscles to help deepen core support, I use:
- The Magic Circle
- Sitfit
- Three-Minute Egg
- Yoga Blocks
- Therabands
- Swivel discs
- 2lb Balls
- Yoga Ball
The studio is also equipped with a WUNDA CHAIR, PILATES ARC and a PUSH-THROUGH BAR on the Springboard.
